Creating mockups for surface design with ImageFX

Recently, I started designing patterns for children's wallpaper and fabric, envisioning vibrant spaces for bedrooms and playrooms. To showcase my work effectively, I realized I needed a flexible mockup. Instead of searching for a generic option, I decided to create my own, allowing me to tailor the surrounding decor to perfectly complement each unique pattern.

To create a picture from the space, I use Google’s ImageFX tool. With simple prompts, I am able to quickly generate a few background pictures with accessories relevant to the theme of the wallpaper. I then import the background image in Photoshop and blend my wallpaper or illustrations into the space.

For a Circus-themed wall paper, I created a picture of a child’s bedroom with toys and decoration on the same theme.

In Photoshop, the elements drawn to design the wallpaper are then applied on the back wall.
